Amman-Petra

Day 1:
Arrive Amman airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight Amman.
Day 2:
Morning City tour of Amman including the Roman theater, the citadel, the
Archeology and the Folklore Museums, old and modern Amman. After the city tour
continue the drive to visit the sites
of
Madaba to visit St. George's Cathedral and the mosaic of Jerusalem and the
surrounding areas dated 560 AD. Continue to
Mt. Nebo long believed to be the
burial place of Moses. Mount Nebo has impressive mosaics and other remains
from 4th and 6th century AD churches, monasteries and
hermitages, now maintained by Franciscan monks living near the site. Continue
further south to the village of Kerak, which lies in the biblical land of Moab
and was a Moabite stronghold long before the Crusaders built the castle for
which it is famous today. After the visit continue to Petra. Overnight Petra.
Day 3:
Today visit Petra, The visit of Petra will include the main sites, the "Siq",
a long winding fissure between two walls of overhanging cliffs, the "Khazneh"
referred to as the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Court House and the
Amphitheater. Overnight Petra.
Day 4:
Morning visit to Wadi Rum for a 2-hours jeep tour of this magnificent
desert and then transfer to
Amman
airport or hotel.
