Day 1: Arrive Chiang Mai airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: In the morning, tour Chiang Mai’s most famous and historic temple of Doi Suthep Monastery and a visit to a Meo hill-tribe village. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 3:  Day free (optional excursion).
Day 4: Transfer to airport or train station.

CHIANG MAI SIGHTSEEING

HANDICRAFT VILLAGES
Explore the villages of San Kampaeng and San Bor, famous for their craft industries.  Observe and learn about the manufacture of silk and cotton goods, traditional woodcarving, silver, lacquerware and paper umbrellas.

ELEPHANT RIDING AND RIVER RAFTING
Visit Mae Ta Maan elephant camp view their morning bath and then a demonstration of working elephants.  Afterwards ride an elephant through the forest and streams and then ride an ox-cart through rice fields and small farms.  After lunch take a bamboo raft trip down Mae Tang River.  Return to Chiang Mai with a stop at an orchid and butterfly farm.

THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE
Drive to Chiang Rai then on to the Golden Triangle and the border town of Mae Sai, visit Yao and Akha hill tribe villages on the way.
