Day1      Arrive Moscow, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

 

Day 2     With your guide embark on a tour of Moscow to include Christ the Savior Cathedral, a famous and controversial building and to Novodevichy Convent which was once home to noblemen's inconvenient female relatives. The convent's Smolensk Cathedral has stunning frescoes and gold iconostasis, is one of the most beautiful churches in Russia.  

 

Day 3     Visit the famous Kremlin grounds; the former residence of Russian tsars is an architectural ensemble of unique beauty.  Within the grounds are the Grand palace, the modern Congresses Palace and the Armory.  The Armory Chamber is the treasury of Russian tsars with unique collections of gold and silver items, Russian arms and armor, the state regalia, thrones, carriages and coronation dresses. 

In the afternoon enjoy a city tour including Old Arbat Street, a picturesque pedestrian street in Moscow and the famous Metro. Moscow Metro underground stations will tell you a lot about the history of the USSR and modern Russia. 

Day 4     Visit Sergiev Posad. One of the loveliest cities in Russia. The Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra is the Vatican of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Holy Trinity Cathedral famous for its icons painted by the renowned icon painter Andrei Rublev.

Day 5     Visit Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the second-largest collection of foreign arts in Russia, after the St.-Petersburg Hermitage and the national treasury of Russian fine art at the Tretyakov Gallery.

Day 6     Transfer to Moscow airport or train station for your continuing journey.
